Christopher James
Contemporary Artist
Born in 1964 in County Durham, Christopher
James has been a full-time artist for over
20 years. He studied fine art at the University
of Northumbria and has exhibited in London,
Kent and Edinburgh.
His compositions of atmospheric street
scenes, landscapes and figure studies
are informed by a combination of sketches,
photographs and memory. Ultimately striving
to create work with an emotive and timeless
feel, with depth and mood. Capturing
soulful qualities of people, architecture and
nature. Often suggesting a subtle narrative.
