Born in County Durham, Christopher 
James has been a full-time artist for over 
20 years. He studied fine art at the University 
of Northumbria and has exhibited in London, 
Kent and Edinburgh. 

His compositions of impressionistic
scenes, landscapes and figure studies 
are informed by a combination of sketches,
photography, cinema and memory. Ultimately striving 
to create work with an emotive and timeless 
feel, with depth, atmosphere and mood. Capturing 
soulful  qualities of nature, people and fauna.
